We stopped off at Southwick Beach and this is located to the East of Shoreham Harbour. The background is full of warehouses and industrial buildings but the beach itself is vast and due to the location often much quieter than the main beaches around Brighton. The beach is mainly shingle on a slope and accessed via steps from a promenade above. As we arrived after 6pm parking was free too. But usually it is pay and display.
We just missed @caratscafebar as they closed at 530pm, but usually we would stop by there for drinks, ice creams, lunch and breakfast too!
This spot is a family favourite, especially for the surfers in the family (although no waves this time it was great for Bethany to practise her paddling skills)🏄🏻♀️🏄♂️🌅
📌 Parking depends on which part of the beach you would like to park at. We always use the car park at Basin Road South. All the car parks are via pay and display.
📌 Mostly pebble beach.
📌 The public toilets are open (until 8pm this time of year so very handy).
📌 Carats cafe bar is open for food and drink - https://www.caratscafebar.com/
