For something a little different, on my last birthday, my husband and I booked an experience voucher with Attraction Tickets to do the View from the Shard and had a three-course meal at Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse Co. It was a brilliant package, and something to enjoy as a couple so I would highly recommend it. I therefore just wanted to write a quick blog to tell you a little bit more about it.

The View from The Shard
Location - The Shard, 32 London Bridge St, London SE1 9SG.
This is the tallest building in Western Europe and is renowned for its magnificent architecture, 5* hospitality, and sweeping 360-degree views across the city below. You can take in the sights at your leisure, both in Level 69’s indoor viewing gallery and on Level 72’s spectacular open-air platform, offering views for up to 40 miles in every direction.
Upon arrival, you will go through security checks, before then taking the lift to level 69 or 72. We went up to 72 first to admire all the sights on the open floor platform, spotting venues/landmarks in the distance which was good fun. We then moved down to level 69 and had a drink from the bar, whilst we carried on wandering around the indoor gallery (there are either stairs or a lift between these levels, but stairs were much quicker if you are able too). The Shard opens at 9:00am and last entry is 8:30pm so there is a great choice of timeslots if you book early, but it often does sell out, so I would recommend you book your date/time asap. We stayed here for around an hour all in all. It was something a little different and I am really pleased we have now experienced The Shard.
Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse Co.
Location – you can choose between the Bishopsgate or London Bridge venues.
Stylish dining, high-quality steaks, mouth-watering starters and a range of timeless puddings are all hallmarks at Marco Pierre White’s award-winning London Steakhouse Co.
You can enjoy it all with a three-course meal of the finest quality fare, topped off with an expertly crafted cocktail each.
After our time at The Shard, we then made our way to the restaurant for dinner. We went to the London Bridge venue as it was closer for us and easy to get too. (Though it is tucked down a back street so you may need your google maps handy). The restaurant was quirky, modern and a great atmosphere. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and sat at our table. We were handed a menu (which I think is a set menu based on the package) but there was still a good choice. All three courses were delicious! And the bonus cocktail on arrival was great too! As the food and cocktail are part of your package, you just need to pay for any additional drinks you may have and gratuity. (Or upgrades too – some items on the menu are offered with supplements on). It was a really lovely, fine dining experience and the whole package felt like a treat as a couple to enjoy.
PRICE
At the moment, this is around £89 for both of you. I think amazing value for all the above!
CONDITIONS
The voucher that you receive is open dated, so you can book the date that works for you. You just need to ensure you book it all up within 6 months of buying the voucher. I would recommend that you book the table at the restaurant and then plan the Shard around this. Reason being, you can change your table reservation (up to 48 hours before), but once booked, the Shard reservation is non-exchangeable. The voucher is only refundable within 30 days of purchase, and then non-refundable after that. Minimum age for this is 16.

I would highly recommend booking with AttractionTickets.com for quite a few and important reasons.
